A trip expense splitter for the whole group.
Everyone pays for something on a trip. Split keeps one running record, so nobody has to rebuild the costs from chat messages afterwards.
A worked example
Four friends take a trip and share every cost equally. Total spending is ₹24,000, so each person’s share is ₹6,000.
| Person | Paid | Share | Balance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Asha (hotel) | ₹12,000 | ₹6,000 | gets back ₹6,000 |
| Kiran (fuel) | ₹4,000 | ₹6,000 | owes ₹2,000 |
| Ravi (food) | ₹8,000 | ₹6,000 | gets back ₹2,000 |
| Meet | ₹0 | ₹6,000 | owes ₹6,000 |
Two payments settle the whole trip: Meet pays Asha ₹6,000, and Kiran pays Ravi ₹2,000.
Why it helps on a trip
- One group for the trip. Each hotel, meal and ticket goes in as it happens.
- Not everyone joins everything. Leave someone out of an expense they did not share.
- Different shares. Use exact amounts, percentages or shares when an equal split is not fair.
- Several payers. If two people split a hotel bill at the desk, record both.
Can a group use more than one currency?
Each group uses one currency, chosen when you create it. Record every expense in that currency.
How does everyone see the same numbers?
Send an invite link to the group. People who join see the same expenses and balances.
Is it free?
Yes. You can create groups, add expenses, view balances and record settlements without a paid plan.
