Split bills with friends, without the awkward maths.
Add what each person paid and Split works out who owes whom. It is free, runs in your browser, and you can start without an account.
A worked example
Asha, Ravi and Meet go out. Asha pays for dinner and Ravi pays for the cab home. Everyone shares both costs equally.
| Expense | Paid by | Amount | Each person’s share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dinner | Asha | ₹1,800 | ₹600 |
| Cab | Ravi | ₹900 | ₹300 |
Asha is owed ₹900 overall, Ravi is even, and Meet owes ₹900. Instead of three separate repayments, one payment settles everything: Meet pays Asha ₹900.
How to split a bill in Split
- Start a group and add your friends by name.
- Add the expense and record who paid. More than one person can pay towards the same bill.
- Choose the split: equal, exact amounts, percentages or shares.
- Settle up. Record each payment when money changes hands so balances stay correct.
Do my friends need an account?
No. You can add someone by name and track their share. Send them an invite link later if they want to claim their balance.
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes. Choose a temporary name to start. A temporary account expires after 30 days without involvement in a new or edited expense, unless you add a verified email or link Google sign-in.
Does Split send the money?
No. Split tracks who owes what. You pay each other however you normally do, then record the payment.
